The Columbia Critic

A place to debate anything we want to. We'll talk Columbia campus issues. We'll talk up the homosexual problem. We'll talk China. And we'll talk without resorting to partisan rhetoric. We may be left. We may be right. But we aren't going to be quoting any party line. We're leading the discussion. But feel free to chime in. Hannity and Colmes this is not.

George Clooney turns Michael Moore into a verb

Forget "googling." George Clooney has stated the new verb of the year. Talking about his movie making style::

"Clooney is quite sniffy about Moore, whose modus operandi he finds obnoxious and counter-productive. He uses his name as a verb - "I don't Michael Moore this shit," he says. "I don't come out and go, 'Look what these fuckers do.'" He thinks subtlety - class - gets better results."

Despite what everyone thinks about Moore, how he has basically become a social pariah... he still says things that need to be said, things that people are afraid to voice out. Hate him or love him, he's got more balls than you do. 'you' being everyone in general, not the author...

But he's still an asshole who often goes too far and drowns out his own messages ... like when he told an Irish audience that Americans in general were fat, dump and ugly.

Even if you are bold in your statements, you should still aim to be savvy in your presentation style.
